Mid Sweden University’s United Student Unions (MFS), which includes the Student Union in Östersund and the Student Union in Sundsvall, elect two teachers each year, one from each campus, to be awarded the MFS Pedagogy Award. The Pedagogy Award is an award for outstanding educational efforts in Mid Sweden University, where particular attention is paid to pedagogical innovation and student learning. The award aims to give students an opportunity to reward educational excellence in the university, where each campus has the opportunity to nominate lecturers, teachers and supervisors for their pedagogical skills. The MFS Pedagogy Award includes 10,000 SEK that is paid to the department in which the award winner is employed. The money should be used for further skills development in the teaching profession. The award is handed out during Mid Sweden University’s Academic Ceremony.
All students have the opportunity to nominate for the MFS Pedagogy Award. The nomination shall apply to a lecturer, teacher or supervisor employed at Mid Swden University, and include a motivation for why the person shall receive the award. The nomination must be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org by latest 31 May.
