As a member of the Student Union, you contribute to supporting our work, while at the same time you get the opportunity to get involved in our activities yourself. You can choose to get involved in our sections and committees or be a student representative in one of Mittuniversitets decision-making and preparatory bodies. As a member, you also receive extended support from our student mediator if you should end up in a conflict with the university during your studies. As a bonus, you also get to take part in our member-exclusive discounts!

We are a politically and religiously independent association of students at Mittuniversitetet campus Östersund who work to ensure that your education and your study time are as good as possible. We work with issues such as education quality, study environments and student housing and organize social activities in the form of everything from movie nights to parties.

Regardless of whether you study on campus on distance, you can become a member of the student union and of course you are always welcome to contact us if you have any questions!

Membership fee

  • Medlemskap i Studentkåren 1 termin (200 kr)
  • Medlemskap i Studentkåren 2 terminer (300 kr)
  • Distansmedlemskap i Studentkåren 1 termin (100 kr)
  • Kombomedlemskap i Studentkåren + ÖSIS 1 termin (400 kr)
  • Kombomedlemskap i Studentkåren + ÖSIS 2 terminer (600 kr)

Självklart kan du nu köpa ett kombomedlemskap där du, till ett förmånligare pris, får både medlemskap i Studentkåren och ÖSIS på samma gång.

Personal data management

The Student Union in Östersund handles your personal data in its membership register in the form of social security number, name and e-mail. We receive this information from you and we are obliged by law to have a membership register and to maintain it. This information is necessary for you to be able to become a member and obtain the rights and benefits that this entails and for us to be able to inform you about your association democratic rights. If you do not want to give us this information, you cannot become a member either.

In case you have protected identity, you can always contact gdpr@sko.miun.se and get help to become a member and registered in a separate register.

We follow the applicable legislation at all levels. Our legal basis for handling personal data comes from the fact that we have a mission of public interest (Article 6.1 e) as we are a business regulated by law and regulation.

Your data is saved as long as we have corps status (three-year appointments) plus one year because we must be able to show our membership register if Mittuniversitetet so requests.

 We may also share your personal data with a third party, provided we are required to do so by law.

The data may be stored in cloud services based in third countries.

The personal data controller is the Student Union in Östersund, Mittuniversitetet 83125 ÖSTERSUND, organization number 892001-3805. You have the right to contact us if you want information about the data we have about you, to request correction, transfer or to request that we limit the processing, to make objections or request deletion of your data. The easiest way to do this is to contact us at gdpr@sko.miun.se. If you have a complaint about our processing of your personal data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority, the Swedish Data Protection Authority.

Membership conditions

Medlemskap är endast för registrerade studenter på Mittuniversitetet i Östersund. Vi gör regelbundna kontroller för att styrka detta. Medlemsavgift kan återbetalas till student som inom två veckor från tecknandet av medlemskap uppvisar bevis på avslutade studier vid Mittuniversitetet
