STUDENT PROTECTION OFFICER

According to the Working Environment Act (1977:1160), students have the right to appoint a student protection representative who shall represent the students in matters relating to the physical and psychosocial work environment.

Student protection representatives can, for example, request security patrols in teaching premises and other premises where students stay and also have the right to participate in the review of drawings of premises intended for students. The student protection representative works closely with the Student Union's student representative and Mittuniversitetet's main protection representative in relevant matters.

As a student protection representative in the Student Union in Östersund, you are also expected to participate in the SFS network for student protection representatives, where they offer, among other things, training in the assignment.

Do not hesitate to contact the student protection representative if you have any questions!
