The central psychologists are the psychology students' section. We are part of the Student Union in Östersund and exist so that students can have the best study time possible. The board consists of active students from the psychology program. Our goal is to always have at least two representatives from each year, but of course more are welcome!

What do the Central Psychologists do?

We work both in terms of study policy and study social issues. The study policy work includes such things as mediating opinions and proposals between students and the department. Concretely, the work can be about anything, from influencing educational content to mediating between teachers and students who disagree.

In terms of student social work, we work, among other things, by getting involved in the kick-off, organizing guest lectures, workshops, quizzes, summer graduations, etc. We also have the opportunity to act as financial support and planning help when arranging various activities such as workshops, themed days, sit-ins and other festivities!

We also ensure that the psychology program's sponsor guide and program traditions are updated and passed on between generations.

How often do the Central Psychologists have meetings?

We have meetings every two weeks and everyone, regardless of board member or not, is welcome to participate! Most of the time we stay in the Students' House and have coffee.

How do I join?

The only criteria are that you are a member of the Student Union in Östersund and are accepted to the psychology program. You can join the board at any time during the year, just contact us or show up at a meeting!
